From September 4th to 6th, the 5th High-level Forum of Precision Manufacturing and the 40th Aerospace Precision Machining Technology Seminar was held in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The forum was co-organized by HUST, Beijing Aerospace Control Instrument Research Institute and Shanghai Aerospace Control Instrument Research Institute. More than 130 representatives took part in the forum. They are from over 40 advanced national defense research institutes, enterprises and outstanding universities in fields like aerospace, astronautics, weapons, ships, etc.
Topic of this forum is “the Contribution of Precision and Ultra-precision Machining Technology to National Defense Industry and Its Development”. In the forum, relevant topics on precision manufacturing and aerospace ultra-precision manufacturing were discussed, and some outstanding experts were invited to give reports. The forum was hosted by Mr. Yao Zhuxian, Vice Director of the No. 13 Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
In the opening ceremony, some leaders and famous researchers gave speeches, such as Mr. Min Yuejun, Director of the No. 13 Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Prof. Shao Xinyu, Party Secretary of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Mr. Jiang Fan, Vice Director of the Science and Technology Committee of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Academician Xiong Youlun from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Mr Yang Lixiang, Vice Director General of Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. After that, 2 experts gave keynote speeches and 9 experts gave special reports. And there were also another 18 reports in the forum. 69 papers were submitted to the forum. After strict review, 5 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes and 8 Third Prizes were selected. And excellent papers were awarded in the forum.
On the afternoon of September 6th, the attendees visited the State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, the National Innovation Institute of Digital Design and Manufacturing, and the Intelligent Plant of Midea.
The forum has attracted great attention from media of Wuhan. The News Channel of Wuhan Broadcasting and Television Station had a special TV report for the forum, and Wuhan New Network also had the same report.
