Recently, Decision of the Ministry of Education on Approving the 2018 National Teaching Achievement Award Programs was issued, in which MSE of HUST again achieved a good result. Academician Ding Han’s team won the First Prize of the 8th National Teaching Achievement Award with the team’s research “On Building an Education System for Outstanding Innovation Education of Mechanical Engineering in Research Universities”. The National Teaching Achievement Award is organized once every four years, which is the best award approved by the Ministry of Education in the research and practice of both education and teaching, representing the highest level of China’s teaching standard of higher education.
Over the years, under the leadership of Academician Yang Shuzi and Li Peigen, MSE is committed to the mission of "cultivation of talents, innovation and responsibility", taking cultivation as the foremost thing to do. This award is the creative outcome of MSE’s efforts of the past years. MSE continuously strengthened its teaching quality and deepened teaching reform. Teachers of MSE remained true to their original aspiration and keep their mission firmly in hand, being passionate in their work of teaching students to cultivate more high-quality professionals that were in the need of China’s economic construction and social development. This award is the achievement of MSE’s teaching reform of cultivating students.
