MSE and Amperex Technology Limited Build A School-company Practice Base-School of Mechanical Science and Engineering

On March 10th and 11th, Professor Deng Chao, Zhu Haiping, Zhang Chaoyong from State Engineering Research Center of Digital Manufacturing and Equipment of MSE, and Professor Wang Junfeng, Director of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing System Engineering of MSE, were invited to visit Amperex Technology Limited (ATL). Leaders and technicians of ATL take part in activities, including Pu Yang (Director of Operations), Ma Ming (Manager of Industrial and Manufacturing Department), Wang Chun (Manager of HR Department). The two sides had a meeting about building a comprehensive cooperation, and Wang Chun chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the two sides examined and signed the practice base agreement according to previous negotiations and held an opening ceremony. After this, ATL will provide summer production practice opportunities for students majored in industrial and manufacturing.The 4 professors introduced respectively their research directions and bases, and had a heated discussion with ATL about the manufacturing of consumer lithium batteries. The two sides also discussed on fields like project application, horizontal cooperation, talent training and graduates recruitment. Professors of MSE then visited the exhibition hall of ATL and had a careful study about the processing of lithium batteries, laying a foundation for further cooperation.

In recent years, some undergraduates and graduate students have joined ATL and played their role in the company. During this visit, the 4 professors meet with some of these students and encouraged them to make more achievements in their work.
